We're excited to share a recap of our recent club trip to El Gouna, Egypt!
Luckily, day one brought us some sweet wind in the morning, perfect for getting accustomed to the new spot and conditions.
As the day went on, the wind tapered off a bit, but a few of us were still keen to get out on the water again. A number of us hit up Sliders Wakepark for a sunset session at the full cable. Wrapping up the day with a cold beer as the sun disappeared was the perfect end to the day.
With a couple of no-wind days during the trip, we stayed busy with another trip to the wakepark keeping us all entertained, whether riding or spectating. Plus, there was a gym, chess battles, chilling with a good book, and exploring the Downtown and Marina areas.
When the wind picked up, we were out there making the most of it, with some of us hitting the water for up to three sessions a day. Some of the group enjoyed working on their foiling skills before heading out on the twin tips. In the evenings everyone enjoyed drinks, backgammon and a useful chat from Mikey about different loop variations, giving us fresh ideas to try out on the water.
Overall the conditions were great and everyone managed to progress on the water from nailing first jumps, to backrolls, front rolls, downloops and kiteloops.
We cant wait to return again soon, and see everyone out on the water at The Beach this summer!
